Whomever controls a country, deals with a crisis as they see fit. For example, too big to fail Bankers in the U.S. were rewarded with public funded bails outs/bail ins during the subprime mortgage even though millions of people worldwide were impacted. “Though the 2008 crisis impacted the entire global financial system, it was caused by the subprime mortgage crisis in the United States. As a result, many of its major players were U.S. government officials and corporate leaders of U.S. financial institutions”. Ref; The Bottom Line Google.
BUT … bankers in Iceland were sentenced to significant jail time after “stealing”, or whatever it is called when you take something that doesn’t belong to you, the savings of 50 000 Icelanders and plunging 25% of mortgaged homes into default.
Eleven of those bankers, best referred to not as bankers but as thieves because that’s the dictionary definition of someone who steals other people’s money, went to jail for 35 years to ponder what they had done or at least reconsider how they could have negotiated their way out of the drama. Another seven of the greedy stealing Banksters were sentenced to only 25 years behind bars.
That will learn them.
The lesson learned is, if you want to be a Bankster, operate in a politically safe environment.
Because the “major players” in the United States who caused the banking collapse “were U.S. government officials”, there was very little risk that there would be any prosecution of any participant for such premeditated theft.
That shouldn’t be able to happen if the safeguard of the separation of the powers of the legislative, executive and judicial branches of government is observed.
Is it possible that “government officials” are afforded protection, even when involved in extreme morally reprehensible and opportunistic ventures that others outside of the “Big Club”, … you know the one that you and George Carlin “aint in”, are not afforded the same protection?
I’m simply asking for a friend.
Let’s run a litmus test just for fun.
Does anyone remember the “pandemic”?
It was in all the papers.
I’m referring to the “pandemic” that precipitated a “safe and effective vaccine” discovery by three separate and independent pharmaceutical corporations within months of the virus’ discovery.
That’s not too bad a result as none of them or any other medical enterprise had found a cure for any other virus including the common cold after more than 100 years of investigative research.
The “experimental” injections were free, and those slow on the uptake were encouraged with a doughnut or the chance to win a million bucks … … … … for a time. https://www.cnet.com/health/free-beer-doughnuts-and-1-million-dollars-incentives-to-get-your-covid-19-vaccine/
But after that time, more persuasion was needed including fines or self-imposed or forced isolation for those selfish, conspiracy, climate denying antivaxxers with loss of employment, social ridicule, etc, etc.
None the less, the virus was so debilitating and deadly that you had to do a test to see if you had it.
And strangely enough, not having symptoms was one of the symptoms.
That is, you could be a carrier, and not know it, … apparently.
Because people had to have evidence that they had tested negative with an “approved” test before they could access social privileges like going to work or seeing their parents in a facility for the older aged generation, the volume of tests required provided opportunity for big money to be made.
Not wanting a catastrophe to go to waste, many entrepreneurs, that is, people seeing opportunity, got off the couch and got busy, … metaphorically speaking.
They didn’t all get treated the same nor did their stories end up in mainstream newspapers like the incredible adventure of Nguyen Thanh Long.
“A former Vietnam Health Minister, Nguyen Thanh Long, has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for taking bribes in a coronavirus test kit scandal”, according to a Reuters report. It was reported that he was jailed for receiving $2.25 million in bribes. Ref:

It is evident that Nguyen Thanh Long was not in “The Club”.
He only made $2.25 million, which is chicken feed, even in USD … AND …, like the Iceland Banksters, … he went to jail after he got caught.
If he hadn’t been caught and tried, would he have confessed and made amends?
Of course he would have, … why? … … because he was sorry.
He did say he was sorry.
Maybe he was sorry he got caught.
BUT, … was he in the “The Club”?
… … … … Nuh.
And neither were the jailed Iceland Banksters.
